Nigeria’s Minister of state for Petroleum Resources (gas), Rt. Honourable Ekperikpe Ekpo, has appointed Louis Ibah as a Special Adviser on Media and communications.
Ibah, an accomplished journalist, who is a foundation member of Platforms Africa, has spent 23 years on the job covering different sectors including the oil and gas.
Reacting to Ibah ‘s appointment, Team Lead of Platforms Africa, Adeola Yusuf, described the appointment as a round oeg in a round hole.

Maintaining that the minister was diligent in getting Ibah, whom had reported the gas sector for ovr 20 years now, Adeola Yusuf, said that his appointment will be a great value addition to the realisation of the minister’s aspiration to bring about growth and develooment in the Nigeria’s gas sector.
The Man Ibah
bibah holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA. Hons) in English Language from the University of Uyo and a Masters of Arts (MA) in English Literature from the University of Lagos.
He started his career as a reporter in 2000 with The Punch Newspaper in Lagos before being deployed to the Abuja bureau office in 2003.
In April 2006, Ibah joined the Business Desk of The Sun Newspaper as Chief Correspondent and rose to the position of Deputy News Editor, a post he held untill his recent appointment.
A journalist with over 23 years experience in environment, aviation and energy reporting, Ibah is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Institute of Change Management (ICM) and a Fellow of the World Press Institute (WPI), St.. Paul, Minnesota USA.
